Thank you! I was able to run the inventory generator with most of the enabled attributes.

It seems to occasionally have issues with building height and/or roof pitch. I can install the new release when it is out and follow up if I am still experiencing issues.

Thank you for your patience! I just pushed a fix to the BRAILS backend that addresses this issue.

I plan to make a few other BRAILS improvements before the end of this week, so this fix may not make it to a minor release until early next week. If you would prefer not to wait until the minor release is out, please use the following syntax to update your BRAILS from the GitHub master: pip install git+https://github.com/NHERI-SimCenter/BRAILS

Once the minor release is out, you can use pip install BRAILS or pip install BRAILS -U as usual to install the latest fixes/improvements.

I am happy to look into this issue and get it sorted out for you. For this purpose, could you please provide the bounding box coordinates, number of buildings and seed number you defined for your building inventory?

Good morning,

I just upgraded to BRAILS version 3.1.1 (from version 3.0) and the street-view images are not being saved when using the InventoryGenerator.generate function. This causes the inventory generator to fail on the Chimney and Garage detectors.

Satellite images are downloaded into the 'satellite' directory as expected. The 'street' and 'depthmap' directories are created, but they remain empty.

I am using the BRAILS backend in Python.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

I am attempting to use the BRAILS tool to create my building inventory for a regional IMasEDP analysis. However, once I have defined my bounding area and selected run BRAILS, I receive the following error message,

"There was an error in the python process python module, the exit code is 1"

The program output shows that it goes until the facade parser where a ValueError occurs, "Found array with 0 sample(s) (shape=(0,1)) while a minimum of 1 is required by LinearRegression."

I have successfully run this during the demo provided at the NHERI Computational Symposium, but am not having such luck on my own study region. Please let me know if more details are required for a solution. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,

The original data (1.84M buildings) described in our San Francisco testbed was produced by our partner, and we are not permitted to share the data. However, SimCenter has produced a similar inventory containing around 1M buildings, and the data is publicly available on DesignSafe at https://doi.org/10.17603/ds2-z5sx-zh27.
