Title: getting nan result while using wind tunnel experiment event
Post by: alibakhtiari9068 on August 07, 2020, 04:06:49 AM
Hello,

I am using wind tunnel test experiment as the event in WE-UQ.

0)My input json file contains pressure taps locations and pressure coefficients time history. But the program when run, gives me nan results.
1) How can I know when I'm using face id 5, which face of the cuboid I'm referring too.
2) What is the parameter period in the Jason file?
3) I have no other errors regarding other engines like Dakota and etc. (e.g. I'm considering at least one random variable in the parameters.)

Attached is my input json file. I guess the issue is regarding the input file because I get no errors but I get nan as results.
Could you help me through this.

Thanks in advance!

face 5 is the roof. i see that the documentation is insufficient. i will update the documentation and provide you with an example. hopefully tomorrow.

Thank you for the clarification and the figure.
But the problem still exists:
0) I reduced the number of pressure taps to 1 for simplicity.
1) Pressure tap is located at face 1.
2) The only pressure tap contains a time history with the corresponding sampling frequency in the json file.

I attached the revised json file.

Thanks.

thanks. can confirm issue. will look at over weekend to see if it the input file or app. looks like app at present.

sorry about the delay .. i modified a couple of things in the file to get it working .. it was missing period (period being a hold over from TPU dataset being equivalent to duration of event .. there was also an error in the documentation (related to windSpeed and shape) .. i have fixed the documentation. Attached is the revised .json file.

you still get a few nan's, but only because there is 0 load in y and rz direction because of input.
