I'm trying to get street-view building images using BRAILS and detect windows and doors from collected building images using FacadeParser.

Q1. It seems BRAILS finds building locations from the database of OpenStreetMap. If my buildings are not registered in the database of OpenStreetMap, is it impossible to get street-view images automatically using Google API?

Q2. As you can see in the attached image file, the accuracy of detecting windows and doors is great. However, there are still errors, for example, wrong identification of a door (the small door next to the actual door). Also, the detected center biggest window seem much smaller than its actual size. Is this common level of errors we can encounter while using FacadeParser? And, is there any other module or method to detect windows and doors?

Q3. There are three buildings in the attached image whereas I only need the segmented result of the center building. Do you have any idea to define the boundary of the center building and discard the images of other two buildings?

I found the file, but the file location was applications\performRegionalEventSimulation\regionalWindField\database\historical_storm. Is this correct or do I need to move the file to the folder applications directly? Thanks.

Regional Hazard Simulation (R2D, rWhale) / Hurricane database

I'm trying to load a hurricane data from the database in 'HAZ' tab. I chose 'Hurricane scenario simulation' and 'Select hurricane track from database.' Then whenever I hit the button 'Load hurricane database', I get the error 'The hurricane database does not exist.'  I wonder what's the problem and how to fix it. Thanks!

I wonder if BRAILS program has a function or option for detecting window/door/garage door. I think there are only 8 attributes now available to choose (building height, chimney, rebuilt, garage, numstories, roofeaveheight, roofshape, roofpitch), but no window/door/garage door recognition.

I'd like to detect such components and identify their locations on each building surface. Could you let me know if it's achievable with BRAILS?

Thanks Adam. I have one more question.

For each time step, I will try to calculate the external and internal pressure to get the net pressure. Once the net wind pressure exceeds the resistance of a building component (e.g., roof sheathing), this component will become windborne and internal pressurization of the building will occur. In this situation, the internal pressure model should be updated and any newly released debris objects are traced. This iterative process continues until equilibrium is achieved. So my question is, do you think this kind of iterative process is realizable in R2D program? Or is this too complex? If it's not too complicate, could you give me an idea which R2D component I should modify?

I'm trying to find out if it is possible to simulate wind-borne debris and their impacts in R2D program for strong wind or hurricane events. Because wind-borne debris can break windows or external building materials, modeling properties or internal wind pressure distribution can be changed during simulations. So here are my questions: 1) Do you think it's possible to change the modeling properties or aerodynamic characteristics of buildings during the simulation? 2) Can I add debris trajectory module to the R2D program?
