I have updated the source code. I will have a new release out tomorrow 2/8/23. It was strange it worked on Windows. The code was using a deprecated function that the windows .dll still obviously contains.

There is an updated version of R2D in the preRelease folder that Emmaleah is trying out. If you want to have a look. It is not in the default folder as it spits out some junk messages when uploading files and I want to see what messages are spewing forth if it fails in the upload.

looking for the data to run the files .. are you running one of the examples? or did you find the example online somewhere .. sorry for delay .. just needing to see if files are missing something if an old example.

You need to be able to login to DesignSafe before any of our tools will work. Did you go through the DesignSafe portal to get to the TACC create an account? You need to get TACC to sort this out. As you cannot login to designsafe to submit a ticket, you will have to login to the tacc portal again and submit a ticket (it is under the consulting menu). TACC and DesignSafe are staffed by the same people, so they should be able to help out. Get back to the thread if you are still having problems and I will try submitting one on your behalf to DesignSafe proper.

Can you do the following:
1. Start tool, find the prefernces window and hit the reset and save buttons.
2. Now start an example with the run button
3. If it fails can you attach the debug.log file in ~/Documents/R2D and the .json file in ~/Documents/R2D/LocalWorkDir/tmp.SimCenter

i am looking into the source code .. there should be a file ibtracs.last3years.list.v04r00.csv in a folder Databases in the applications folder (note if you are on a mac the app R2D.app is actually a directory and you can cd into from the terminal .. the R2D.exe is located in the following R2D.app/Contents/MacOS and Datanases should be a folder there) .. can you tell me if the folder and file exists .. thanks and sorry

while waiting .. as part of SimCenter training there was an AI workshop held this summer .. Day 3 contains some material and in particular notebooks for crack detection you might want to look at to get you started.

Sorry for your struggles. The examples you are using are for version 2.0.x of BRAILS

The examples that you were using do not work in current version. I have updated the example page. The person responsible for BRAILS is away till Thurs, at which time I will get him to provide more examples and show how to pre-train to get better results for local areas.

if using the dakota option in quoFEM, you can use the dakota.in file generated by a dummy run of the tool and modify that dakota input file to put lower (and upper) bounds on the lognormal random variables.
