When I run all scenarios, the hazard curves appear to have more spatial variance than the USGS hazard curves, and they do not recreate the hazard curves. How can I get the spatial correlation to match?

When I run the hazard simulation (I am using the developer's version to run multiple scenarios at once, but I believe this applies regardless) I end up sometimes with 'Point2Vert_SS_FaultPoisSource' as the fault name. I am wondering if there is a way to exclude this from the scenarios so I end up with realistic distances to actual known faults in the area. Sometimes I do get Hayward, San Andreas, Calaveras, etc., but I would like specifically to exclude these point sources.

Regional Hazard Simulation (R2D, rWhale) / Length of value error
« on: April 07, 2022, 08:10:08 PM »
I am running a larger number of simulations (40) using the backend with the attached input files and calling 'python C:\path\to\ --hazard_config  C:\path\to\EQHazardConfiguration.json'

I end up with this error: ValueError: Length of values (800) does not match length of index (1280)

Is there something wrong in my inputs?

I do not need a time history output, however R2D crashes every time I set the dropdown menu to 'None'. I tried varying other inputs but that seems to be the one causing the crash.

Regional Hazard Simulation (R2D, rWhale) / Simulated hazard magnitude
« on: February 02, 2022, 02:04:15 AM »
I am wondering if the actual magnitude of the simulated events is available somewhere in the outputs of a set of hazard simulations. For example, if I input to get events from M = 7.0 to M = 8.0 and run 5 scenarios, is there (or could there be) a list somewhere of what magnitudes were chosen for the 5 runs?

I cannot find information on the implementation of ground failure beyond the blurb in the user manual- I am curious how ground failure is defined, if Vs30 or any other inputs are included (GWT?). I also see in the example that the spreading and settlement is estimated from PGA, but the manual says that PGD must be provided, so what are those functions and what do they take as input?

I would like to be able to run a regional simulation for tsunami hazard with normal and lognormal fragility functions for 3 damage states and depth as the input intensity measure.

Regional Hazard Simulation (R2D, rWhale) / No results to import! Error code
« on: September 21, 2021, 01:34:45 AM »
I am running an analysis locally with user specified ground motions (from the output of an Earthquake Scenario Simulation) and buildings, MDOF building model and OpenSees analysis. I am getting No results in the EDP/DM/DV .csv files but not sure where the error is.

Hydrodynamic Engineering (Hydro-UQ) / Hydro-UQ Crashing
« on: July 30, 2021, 07:15:31 PM »
The program keeps crashing when I try to submit to DesignSafe, and when I open back up there is no run queued. I am trying to run Lab02 from the workshop.

When I try to run a hazard simulation very similar to the example one, I receive this hazard simulation script error with exit code 1 before anything runs. What does this exit code mean? Is there an issue with the inputs?

I receive "An error occurred in the Python script, the exit code is 1" when using any of the three earthquake datasets downloaded from the trainingMaterial folder on DesignSafe. This is the same as when I manually load the input files for the included examples instead of loading them through the Examples drop-down.

When running remotely on DesignSafe, I receive "ERROR: JOBS_APP_UUID_NOT_FOUND Application rWhale-2.4.0u3 not found for tenant designsafe."

Regional Hazard Simulation (R2D, rWhale) / Fitting window
« on: June 29, 2021, 06:58:29 PM »
When I first open the application on my Dell laptop the window appears larger than my screen so I cannot see all of the buttons. Then when I fit the window to my screen I cannot see all of the options as shown in the screenshot. I believe this is causing me to not select any outputs and not have any results.

Regional Hazard Simulation (R2D, rWhale) / Error missing json files
« on: June 29, 2021, 12:10:22 AM »
I run into an error in Python with exit code 1 saying EVENT.json and SAM.json are not found. Should these have been included in the windows download? I am trying to run the example 3 file for Anchorage.
