Dear Dr. Sang-ri, I would love to thank you for your precious time, I really appreciate your effort.  Many thanks also for explaining the output of QuoFEM, that was super valuable for me. I am Looking forward to be familiar with the wonderful quoFEM tool.

Uncertainty Quantification (quoFEM) / "Main" and "Total" of Random Variable
« on: November 22, 2021, 09:56:52 AM »
Dear all,
I'm using sensitivity analysis for Opensees TCL file to study the parameters model. The input and output are shown in the screenshot(1). So, could anyone help me to understand the results in-depth

- what are "Main" and "Total" mean, How QuoFEM tool is Calculating these values and what is the relationship between them?
- How can I know the effect of each parameter and know when the value of the parameter is appropriate - high value needs to be reduced or low value needs to be raised - within the available limits (Min-Max) values in the RV panel?

Thanks

AakashBS,
actually, I always use the right variable name 'Node_16_Disp_1' in the QoI panel of quoFEM but I change node 16 to node 2 when I sent the opensees file. anyway, the issue was due to using ''wipe'' in Tcl file.
Now I have got the results. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Thank you,
I tried running the model but there are no results all displacements are zero. Could you please, have a look at screenshots 1,2. in ''LocalWorkDir'' file there is ''tmp.SimCenter'' file has ''templatedir'' and  ''workdir.1-300'' all of the folders are empty.

Uncertainty Quantification (quoFEM) / Optimal parameters values

Hello,
I have chosen values of some parameters in opensees model, and I want to know if my choice is satisfied (values are not low, not high ). I tried using the parameter Estimation method, but quoFEM gives me the same values that I input in the initial point values in ‘RV’. I do not have an experimental and the parameter Estimation method is obtaining the parameters that best fit the experimental results. so could please, guide me on which method can I use for conforming parameters values?

THANKS

I got it,  the problem was due to the convergence in the model

Thank you so much

Hello dear all,

I am estimating my model parameters to get the best parameters values. There is one target value (120 mm as displacement at point 16) of my model. I  provided the target value and it's path of the output "Node_16_Disp_1" in a text file.

1- I am wondering - in the results - why quoFEM gives me the same values that I input in the initial point values for the optimization algorithm in ‘RV’
   panel.

2- when I select an example in quoFEM menu, the variable name in ‘Qol’  panel appears automatically. in my model, I input the variable name by myself in
‘Qol’ panel. is it normal or  I have a problem? if so, how can solve it?

please, see screenshot (1)

AakashBS,
sang-ri,

NOW, quoFEM Version 2.3  is working very well. Thank you so much for solving my big problem  :)

Thank you, Sang-ri

I have followed the steps.  I also tried to compare the files with version 2.2 files but still doesn't work. Please see the screenshot (5)

AakashBS,

1- please see 'debug.log' in the screenshot (1)
2- There is NO  'dakota'  file in this path (quoFEM menu/Help/Preferences/tmp.SimCenter) as shown in the screenshot (2)
3- Yes i found only 'workflow_driver' file in 'templatedir' as shown in the screenshot (3)
4- please see 'Preferences' in the screenshot (4)

Thanks

Uncertainty Quantification (quoFEM) / Running on quoFEM

Hello all,
I had downloaded quoFEM (2.3), then I logged in and hit “run” for a selected example in the category. It showed me this "No dakota. err file - dakota did not run- problem with dakota setup or the applications failed with inputs provided". However, in the old version (2.2), it works well. Please, what the problem is ?

Thank you,
I have download quoFEM 2.3 version, I wanted to check the app before I check my model parameters. then I logged in and hit “run” for a selected example in the category, it showed me this "No dakota. err file - dakota did not run- problem with dakota setup or the applications failed with inputs provided" however, in the old version (2.2) it works well. please what's the problem is?

Hello,
My model is stack. I have been waiting so long to download quoFEM version 2.3. and I tried to download it from another site but there is no (application file) in. so,  Could you please send me version 2.3 in an archive. thanks in advance
