Regional Hazard Simulation (R2D, rWhale) / Re: BUG:export to PDF

Hello Max,

Thanks for pointing this out. This function is disabled now. Alternatively, you can access the results in the "tmp.SimCenter/results" folder in your local jobs directory (as defined in R2D preferences). You could generate PDF results with spreadsheet editors or text editors that you prefer.

Please let us know what you need to export into a PDF format. We could add the function back if necessary.

Best,

Jinyan

Performance Based Engineering (PBE) / Re: DL_summary_stats.csv error

Hi,

I am so sorry for the delayed response. I can see two potential reasons:

1. Unless there is a reason to use another Python installation (I saw in the log file that the python version is v.3.11), please press "reset" button in the menubar-File-Preference window such that the PBE can run the analysis on the python installation we had provided and configured to fit our tools best (v.3.8)
2. It could be because the working directory is located under the cloud folder (onedrive). Please try changing the local working directory (found in the menubar-File-Preference window) to another location.

Best,
Sang-ri

Mohammad,

sorry for lateness in response. we are workiing on the issue which is popping up in last release due to a python module conflict. We are upgrading (sometime downgrading) the python packages and hope to get a fix out this afternoon. sorry again. frank

Performance Based Engineering (PBE) / Recovery Assessment Error
« Last post by mrafiqjoo on December 28, 2023, 06:26:43 AM »
Hi PBE team,
I am trying to run an in-built example (pbdl--003) to try out recently added feature of recovery assessment using REDi. On running the assessment, recovery part is skipped and the following error is encountered.

Traceback (most recent call last):
           File "C:\SimCenter\PBE_Windows_Download\PBE_Windows_Download\applications\performanceAssessment\REDi\REDiWrapper.py", line 47, in <module>
             from REDi.go_redi import go_redi
         ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'REDi'

Kindly look into the issue and help me resolve the same.

Regards
Mohammad Rafiq Joo

Wind Engineering (WE-UQ) / Re: Error in Testing WE-UQ
« Last post by abiy on December 20, 2023, 10:00:12 PM »
Hello,

We have recently updated the WE-UQ to V3.1.1, addressing some bugs. Can you now check with:

1. Download the latest version from https://simcenter.designsafe-ci.org/research-tools/we-uq/
2. Open WE-UQ, and in the File -> Preference, reset the paths by clicking "Reset" at the bottom.
3. Clean your working directory path from previous simulations.
4. Then run the background mesh and check if everything works.

If this doesn't seem to fix the issue, we can schedule a zoom meeting and take a closer look

Best

Hi,

The BackendApplication path is set to "applications" folder in the downloaded WE-UQ folder. However, I still cannot proceed with the meshing. Is this a bug in the software?
